Strutt & Parker has appointed Guy Jenkinson as head of business development and client relationships within its development and planning team in Cambridge.

Guy was previously an equity partner and regional head of new homes (East of England) at Bidwells, where he worked for 25 years.  He will work with Strutt & Parker’s development and planning teams across East Anglia to identify opportunities for residential development.

Having created the new homes team at Bidwells in the late 1990s, Guy has extensive experience in the region and has helped to deliver a significant number of residential developments in the last 20 years. His most notable projects in Cambridge include Vie, by Redeham Homes (275 units); Accordia, by Countryside and Redeham Homes (378 units); Kaleidoscope, by Crest (408 units) and Trumpington Meadows Phase 1, by Barratt Homes (187 units).

Simon Kibblewhite, head of national development and planning at Strutt & Parker said: “Attracting someone of Guy’s calibre to expand the services we offer is a real coup for Strutt & Parker.  His experience of delivering development opportunities and new homes within the region is unparalleled and I am certain that his knowledge and understanding will prove invaluable to our future growth and expansion in East Anglia.”

Strutt & Parker has continued to bolster its development and planning teams and earlier this year appointed two new partners, David Ashworth and Bhavash Vashi. David is qualified as both a surveyor and town planner and joined the national development and planning team based in London.  He previously ran his own practice, APC, which specialised in regeneration and the promotion of strategic land for both public and private sector clients and prior to that he was group regeneration director at Galliford Try.  Bhavash, a town planner, joined the Oxford development and planning team from Barton Willmore.

Guildford based consultancy AKA Planning also joined Strutt & Parker in December, bolstering their development and planning team to 120 across eight offices.
