Addington Fund

The Addington Fund has been Strutt & Parker’s designated rural charity since 2009.

Strutt & Parker supports the Addington Fund in a number of ways. As well as general fundraising, our Marketing team help raise awareness of the fund through events and other activities, and we also put those in need of help in touch with the managers of the fund.

The Addington Fund is a registered farming charity whose main area of work is to provide homes for farming families living in England and Wales who have to leave the industry, through no fault of their own, and by doing so will lose their home. The Fund in recent times has created an affordable housing scheme which enables young agriculturists to remain in their chosen rural location.

The ARC-Addington Fund was set up in 2001 as the Church’s response to Foot and Mouth Disease, when it distributed grants totalling £10.3 million to over 22,000 applicants. The name was changed to Addington Fund in 2011 and, although today the charity focuses more on housing, the charity operates a Trustees Discretionary Fund offering hardship grants in times of emergency.
