Axial Investment Management Ltd, advised by Strutt & Parker, has let the majority of the ground floor and the basement of Unit 1, Chiswick House, Basingstoke, to Dorsman Estates Company Ltd trading as Peacocks. The UK women’s clothing retailer has taken 14,245 sq ft on a 10 year lease.

Peacocks currently trade from over 550 stores throughout the UK and are set to open their first store in Basingstoke prior to Christmas 2009.

The property occupies a prime position in Basingstoke town centre adjacent to Festival Place shopping centre and there remains 24,000 sq ft of upper floors as well as a kiosk of 895 sq ft on the ground floor to let.
