The Fishing
The fishing is divided into seven beats over 23/4 miles and during the week a licensee will have the exclusive use of each beat for a day for two rods thereby allowing all seven varied beats to be fished during a week. The river is stocked throughout the year with both brown and rainbow trout to sustain a level of fish commensurate with the condition and nature of the river.
Fishing is subject to appropriate rules in keeping with a high quality fishery. Selected examples are set out below:
Fishing is by upstream dry fly only until 1 July each year after which an upstream nymph (weighted or unweighted) may also be used. Fish under 12” must be returned and the daily limit is four trout per rod excluding returned undersized fish. Daily records of catches must be recorded.
Accommodation
Accommodation provides three double bedrooms and one single bedroom with three bathrooms over three floors. The first floor reception room has an open fire and a dining area by french doors leading to a patio overlooking the mill pond. The Mill has just been completely refurbished with a new kitchen, bathrooms and soft furnishings.
The landlord arranges the cleaning after each let, which ends at 10.00am each Friday. Fishing for the outgoing owners ends at midnight on Thursday. Incoming tenants can move in after 3.00pm but can start to fish at midday on the Friday.
