Meet Our Team
Peter Baxendale

Peter Baxendale, a former Coldstream Guardsman, joined Strutt & Parker Sporting Agency in 1994 having run his own lettings business for the previous four years. Peter is a keen shot and salmon fisherman and personally knows many of the best drives and salmon pools in the UK! He has shot in Spain and Hungary and has also fished in Russia, Norway, Iceland, British Columbia, Argentina, Cuba and Belize and has first hand knowledge of all our overseas destinations. He is also a Tweed Commissioner.

Peter specialises in the letting of the pheasant, partridge and grouse shooting in the UK and partridge shooting in Spain. He also arranges all the overseas fishing destinations as well as UK Chalkstream fishing. He is often accompanied by Henry, his black Labrador in the office and the field.

Mark Merison

Having previously worked in the City Mark Merison saw the light in 1999 and then joined the Strutt & Parker Sporting Agency. Passionate about all shooting and fishing, having started at a very early age. Mark has shot in America, Australia, Europe, South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe and most counties in the UK. As keen a fisherman as he is a shot, Mark has been lucky enough to have fished much of the River Test and many of the Scottish salmon rivers, and in Norway and Russia.

Mark's responsibilities include the letting of the prime Tweed beats, and for the letting of Scottish stalking and fishing lodges. He is also heavily involved in the organisation of a variety of pheasant and partridge shoots throughout England. Mark's companion in the field is Hector the yellow Labrador.

Lorna Bishop

Lorna Bishop acts as the lynch pin of the whole department, she being the only one left in the office while Mark and Peter are generating new business around the countryside. Lorna copes with all the secretarial, accounting and administrative duties.

Lorna is a keen shot and has enjoyed many days shooting with her family and friends. She lives in Hampshire with husband Jeremy, and jack Russell Scribble, and hopes to purchase and train a Labrador next year. Lorna is currently on maternity leave.
