Apollo Real Estate Advisors (AREA) and Hark Group, advised by Strutt & Parker and DTZ, have upsized Barclays Bank PLC at the Telford Shopping Centre, Shropshire. The high street bank has expanded into 5,484 sq ft, spread over the basement and ground floor on a 15 year lease, at a rent of £230,000 per annum.
This follows the recent upsize of Primark’s store at the centre which tripled in size to over 70,000 sq ft. The clothing chain is now confirmed as an anchor along with House of Fraser, Debenhams, Marks & Spencer and Asda. Telford Shopping Centre currently extends to one million sq ft on a 50-acre site.
