This extensive native woodland was initially established in 1991, with a second phase following some 9 years later, to create a native pinewood. In addition, it has been amply supported by strong natural regeneration.

The mix of young woodland and open knolls offers spectacular views westwards to Loch Tay and Ben Lawyers in a truly dramatic setting.

Nature conservation has benefited hugely from this woodland. Blackgame in the area have recovered well and are resident within the woodland margin. Although this has been established primarily as a conservation woodland, there is likely to be modest timber production over the longer term.
