Halstead is a very well appointed family home, set in a delightful rural position between Lower Hardres and Canterbury, with good rural views to the rear. The accommodation is extremely spacious, with very generous rooms, typical of a house of this date.

The large sitting room is set to the rear of the house, with a double aspect and doors to the garden. Beside it the kitchen/breakfast room enjoys similar views across the garden to the countryside beyond. A generous dining room and small study are set at the front of the house. The integral garage can be accessed from the kitchen and could perhaps be converted, subject to any necessary consents.

The first floor rooms all enjoy fine views, to both front and rear. The master bedroom is especially large, with an en-suite bathroom. Of the three remaining bedrooms, two have en-suite shower rooms, and there is also a family bathroom.

Outside

The garden is generous in size and well planted with flower and shrub borders around a central lawn. There are some specimen trees providing structure and shade, and a useful garden shed is hidden from view.

Situation

Halstead is situated on the edge of Lower Hardres, a quiet rural village to the south of Canterbury, with a thriving farm shop, local church and modern village hall. The village of Bridge with a further range of services is close by.

The city of Canterbury offers a diverse array of cultural, leisure and shopping facilities, and an excellent range of private and state schools. The Grammar Schools are conveniently close by, accessed via the Nackington Road.

The area has excellent road and rail communications, with the M20 (Junction 11) to the south and the A2 at either Canterbury or Bridge connecting to the M2 at Brenley Corner. The High Speed rail service from Canterbury West arrives at London St. Pancras in under an hour. There is also good access to the Continent.

Directions

From Canterbury: Join the B2068 (Stone Street) heading south towards Hythe. About 2.5 miles south of Canterbury, and at Street End, turn left into Bridge Road, towards Bridge. Continue along this road for about 400 yards and Halstead is the penultimate house on the right hand side
