Situation
Slatich is situated towards the eastern end of Glen Lyon and approximately 4 miles east of the charming hamlet of Bridge of Balgie. This hamlet is renowned for its popular tea shop, post
office and primary school. These houses will all have outstanding views with wonderful scenery throughout both the summer and winter months.

Historically the lands at Glen Lyon have been in the Campbell clan for many generations, after they displaced the Macgregor’s, with their residences at Meggernie Castle (1 mile to the west of Bridge of Balgie) and Carnbane Castle, whose remains lie to the east of Invervar. They were both built in the 16th century.

There are a number of sites of interest close to Slatich, including the Stone of Sandal, the flat surface on which the local clans placed their footwear before going to battle. On their
return to the stone, they counted their dead by the number of sandals left unclaimed. Other significant sites include St Adamnan’s “rock of safety”, the Justiciary Court and the standing stones called the “Praying Hands of Mary”.
Slatich is surrounded by some of Perthshire’s most beautiful countryside. Although the area is becoming increasingly sought after, Glen Lyon remains peaceful and unspoilt with an
abundance of wildlife such as red deer, red squirrels and golden eagles.

Outside
Slatich Development:
Named after the local hills, this development has been designed with a contemporary flair by Gibbon Lawson McKee Limited to take advantage of the superb views up and down the glen. The house sites and steading development will be ideal for both permanent homes and holiday accommodation with a
communal gravel courtyard which is accessed by a new driveway from the public Glen Lyon road. Each house will have 2 parking spaces and there will be a drop off and pick up area
for children on the public road.
