What are your key areas of responsibility at Strutt & Parker?
I work between the Chester and Shrewsbury offices specialising in the marketing of country houses and farms. I am involved in every stage of the selling of property, from its initial appraisal, ensuring its best possible presentation and marketing
strategy and negotiating the sale. It doesn’t end there, as it is ensuring the conveyancing process proceeds smoothly which determines the final outcome and this can take considerable tenacity!
What’s the best thing about your job?
I am fortunate to meet some wonderful people and see some very special houses, but nothing beats concluding a good sale!
What has been your proudest moment at Strutt & Parker?
Interestingly, it is not the biggest or most high profile sales, but the ones when you know you have done a fantastic job and have really happy clients and buyers. The most recent was the sale of 0.6 acres of rough land to the most lovely lady for her
bee hives – I am enjoying the most delicious jar of honey as thanks from her and my client is also delighted.
What do you love about the town/city you work in?
Chester has some super restaurants and Shrewsbury is individual and fun but the best thing about both is that you can be out in stunning countryside in minutes.
