More comprehensive facilities in the nearby city of Winchester which along with Micheldever Station (10 miles) have regular trains to Waterloo taking from 58 minutes and 57minutes respectively. Road communications are excellent with the A31 a few miles away that links the M3, A34, A303.

Within the village there are Sun Hill Infant and Junior schools that lead to the well-regarded Perins School. For independent schools the area offers Twyford, Prince’s Mead, Pilgrims’ Winchester College and St Swithuns. In addition, at Alton there is Alton Convent School and good local 6th form education includes one of the UK’s top 6th form colleges, Peter Symonds in Winchester.

Golf courses are found at Alresford, Basingstoke, Dummer and Winchester. Chalk stream fishing is available on the Rivers Itchen and Test and the area is criss-crossed by footpaths and bridleways including the Wayfarers Walk. There is a renowned riding centre at Northington offering riding lessons and/or livery.

Directions

From Winchester head along the A31 towards Alresford. After about 3.8 miles and at the roundabout turn left towards Alresford. Continue along this road and the turning into Arlebury Park House is on the left hand side. Follow the driveway to the front of the house where the apartment will be found.
