An elegant Grad II listed 17th century home with a wealth of period features set in attractive and private gardens of 0.47 of an acre.
The property is set back from the village with double gates leading to ample parking and turning space. The gardens surround the house and include an attractive lawn to the south which were previously used as a tennis court with attractive borders and a vegetable garden. Outbuildings include a Coach House which is currently being used as a garage and a garden store and a garden shed.
The Old Vicarage is situated in Moreton Pinkney, an attractive and popular village with mostly ironstone houses and cottages surrounded by beautiful South Northamptonshire countryside. The village facilities include St Mary's Church, a village hall, playground and numerous footpaths and bridleways. There is local schooling at Culworth with many other well regarded schools in the area including Stowe, Northampton High School, Winchester House, Bloxham, The Carrdus, Tudor Hall and Chenderit School, many of which have a bus service from the village. Mumfords Butchers in Culworth provide a twice weekly grocery mobile shop service to the village and the nearby villages of Blakesley, Sulgrave and Woodford Halse provide a range of local services. More extensive shopping and leisure facilities are available in Brackley, Daventry, Towcester and Banbury. Moreton Pinkney is within reasonable driving distance of the M1 and M40 motorways and there are mainline train services at Milton Keynes Central (London Euston from 35 minutes), Bicester North (London Marylebone from 49 minutes) and Banbury (London Marylebone in under 1 hour).
From junction 11 of the M40 take the A422 towards Brackley. At the next roundabout bear left onto the B4525 to Northampton. At Thenford Hill bear left signposted to Thorpe Mandeville and Sulgrave. Follow this road into the village of Moreton Pinkney and you will see The Old Vicarage set back on your right hand side adjacent to the Church.Read all
