Perthshire is also renowned for its opportunities for country sports including pheasant and grouse shooting. There is salmon and sea trout fishing available on the River Tay system with plenty of trout fishing in nearby lochs.


From Perth, take the A9 north to Dunkeld. Follow that road for 11 miles before turning right to Birnam. Proceed into the village before turning left onto Birnam Glen (opposite the hotel and immediately after the Beatrix Potter Garden). Sunny Corner is the second house on the left.
