This elegant period property occupies an end-of-terrace position in the handsome Grade II Listed Bletchingdon Park Stables. The attractive limestone buildings, dating from the late 18th century, were originally part of the Bletchingdon Park Estate, and back onto rolling parkland, while the property has high ceilings, timber beams and large windows, which welcome plenty of natural light.
There is a well-proportioned sitting room on the ground floor, with a fireplace and a triple aspect, including French doors opening onto the rear gardens. There is also a kitchen and breakfast room with plenty of storage space in white units to base and wall level, granite worktops and integrated appliances, as well as an exposed stone feature fireplace.
Upstairs there are two generous double bedrooms, both of which have fitted storage. The principal bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bathtub, while there is also a family shower room.
To the front of the property there is the impressive Bletchingdon Park Stables gravel courtyard, around which the stables properties are centred. There is a parking garage within the grounds, with each property allocated two parking spaces. The stables are set in the beautiful Bletchingdon Park grounds, while the property has its own private, low-maintenance garden to the rear, with paved terracing, enclosed by a stone wall, with views at the back towards the pretty parish church.
The property is set on a private road in the village of Bletchingdon. The village has a thriving community, with a range of local amenities, including a parish church, a primary school, a nursery, a local pub and a small supermarket. Oxford is eight miles to the south, with its excellent shopping, leisure and cultural facilities, while Bicester offers further amenities, as well as the popular Bicester Village Designer Outlet. Kidlington also has several shops, as well as a selection of cafés and pubs. Golf is available at Kirtlington Golf Club, North Oxford Golf Club, or Bicester Golf Club, while polo is available nearby at Kirtlington Park Polo Club, in the beautiful setting of Kirtlington Park.
The area has several fine schools, with a new primary school in Bletchingdon, senior state schools in Kidlington, Bicester or Woodstock, and several renowned independent schools in the area.
The area is well connected, with rail services from nearby Islip to London Marylebone (52 minutes), and fast and regular services between Oxford. The M40 is easily accessible, providing excellent links to the M25, London, and towards the M6, Birmingham and the Midlands.
