Pegs Cottage is a delightful Grade II Listed thatched cottage believed to date back to the 17th Century with all of the period and character features typical of a property of that era.
The house offers bright accommodation over two floors and a cellar. The property is entered from a covered porch into the study/entrance hall with fitted cupboards and shelving. The delightful drawing room with lovely views of the garden has a large inglenook fireplace with a Jetmaster fire and exposed ceiling and wall timbers. Adjoining the drawing room is the snug with an open fire. The spacious kitchen/breakfast room is flooded with natural light. There is a lovely ceiling height pitched roof and beams with double French doors opening out to the terrace with wonderful views of the garden and fields beyond. The kitchen has fitted cupboards and integrated appliances. Just off the kitchen is a utility room with cupboards, sink and space for a washing machine with a door to the garden and a cloakroom. There are stairs from the sitting room down to the cellar.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom has a fitted wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom also with a large fitted cupboard. The further two bedrooms also have fitted cupboards.
This property has 0.64 acres of land.
The house is located on a quiet country lane with steps from the gravelled parking area up to the front door and enclosed garden. The garden is mainly laid to lawn with numerous flower beds, shrubs and mature trees and a terrace accessed from the kitchen area. The garden is bordered on two sides by open fields and we have measured it to be approximately 0.64 acres.
