The property Brooklands is a delightful Edwardian family house standing in pretty gardens with views of the surrounding Shropshire Hills. The house is well presented throughout and retains many period features while combining modern day comforts.
Along with the original pitch pine doors, tiled floors, fireplaces and charming stain glass slips, the house has an easy flow of rooms for both everyday living and entertaining. The two main reception rooms lead off the central hallway. The drawing room has a fireplace housing a multi fuel stove, while the dining room has a deep bay, open fireplace and a connecting door to the kitchen. This has been well fitted and includes an AGA range and opens to a contemporary living/dining room with a wood burning stove and French windows opening to the decked terrace beyond. It is further complimented by a fitted utility room.
To the first floor is the principal bedroom with an en suite shower room and fitted cupboards. Two further bedrooms, both with the original feature fireplaces are served by a spacious family bathroom and a separate shower room. To the second floor are two further bedrooms, both with stunning far reaching views to the Caradoc and surrounding Shropshire Hills.
Outside The house stands in beautifully stocked gardens and grounds. Divided by hedging and incorporating areas laid to lawn interspersed with mature trees and pretty herbaceous and flowering borders, there is also a greenhouse, shed and a small orchard extending to a stream beyond. There is a brick-built outbuilding with power and lighting ideal for use as a home office or gym. To the side of the house is a block paved driveway with a parking area and access to the integral garage.
