4 Castle Street is a beautifully presented detached property, offering a wealth of accommodation, located in the village of Spofforth. The property is set in a convenient position a few yards from the village shop, primary school and local pub, while the stunning rolling countryside of North Yorkshire is just moments away.

On the ground floor there is a cosy sitting room with a dual aspect and an open fireplace. The kitchen/breakfast room is well equipped, with attractive storage units to base and wall level, black granite worktops, a central island and a range cooker. Off the kitchen is also the formal dining room and also a music room. A ground floor extension to the side of the property offers space for a study and a light and airy family room with a vaulted ceiling, skylights and French doors opening onto the rear gardens.

Upstairs there are three double bedrooms. Two bedrooms have a dual aspect with the master bedroom featuring fitted wardrobes. There is a family bathroom and a shower, both of which are found on the first floor, while the ground floor has a cloakroom.

To the front of the property, wrought iron gates open onto a gravel driveway, where there is parking space for up multiple vehicles. The walled gardens to the front have an area of lawn and several shrubs, while to the rear there is a low maintenance garden with gravel, shingle, paved terracing and timber decking.

Also in the rear garden is a purpose built timber framed summer house, currently used as a workshop/studio. Could ideally be used as a home office also.

The property is located in the small village of Spofforth, five miles from the historic and popular spa town of Harrogate and two and a half miles from Wetherby. Spofforth has a village shop, a local pub and a primary school, while further amenities, including a range of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and cafés and schools can be found in Wetherby. Harrogate is known for its wealth of fine Georgian and Victorian architecture, and has excellent shopping, leisure and cultural facilities, plus several supermarkets, and a choice of superb schools – both state and independent.

The area is well connected by road, with the A1(M) less than five miles from the property, offering easy access to the north and south, while Harrogate mainline station offers direct services to London Kings Cross in three hours.

With Strutt & Parker’s Harrogate office on your left, head along Prince’s Square and turn left onto Victoria Avenue. At the traffic lights, turn right onto Station Parade, turn left onto York Place (A6040). After three quarters of a mile, at the roundabout, take the third exit onto Wetherby Road (A661), and continue on the A661 for just less than five miles, into Spofforth. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Castle Street, and you will find the property on your right-hand side.
