The Gables is a detached family home, with four bedrooms, which has recently undergone a complete renovation and offers light, airy and stylish living in the sought-after Oxfordshire village of Stadhampton. The property is set on a quiet lane just off the villages large central recreation ground, and is located just moments from open fields and rolling countryside.
To the ground floor there is a well-proportioned, triple aspect sitting room, which welcomes plenty of natural light, while towards the rear there is a formal dining room and a kitchen. A new extension at the rear of the property has created a spacious new reception room, with a lantern skylight and two sets of French doors opening onto the rear gardens.
Upstairs there are four double bedrooms, including the generous master, which has an en suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom with a stylish modern fitted suite.
There are gardens to the front and rear of the property, while there is parking available on the driveway and also in the large detached garage block. The property also benefits from a lodge, which offers useful further accommodation, workshop, office or studio space.
The small village of Stadhampton is located eight miles southeast of Oxford, surrounded by rolling Oxfordshire countryside. The village has a local pub, a village hall and a primary school, and is also home to the Crazy Bear bar and restaurant. Oxford city centre is within easy reach, with its abundance of history, culture and first-class shopping and leisure facilities. Central London is less than an hour away by train from Oxford, and the city also runs an efficient 24-hour coach service to and from the capital. The M40 is just five miles from Stadhampton, providing access towards London and the Midlands.
From Oxford, take the B480/Cowley Road southeast away from the city centre, and continue to follow the B480 for six miles. Approaching Stadhampton follow the road around to the left as it becomes the A329/Thame Road, and then go all the way round the roundabout and take the first turning on your left, onto the road that lies adjacent to the recreation ground. Turn right onto Cat Lane and you will find the property on your left-hand side.Read all
