Cottage on the Green, as its name implies, overlooks the Green in the heart of the village. It has been refurbished to a high standard, is beautifully decorated and has masses of charm. The front door opens into a good sized sitting room with inglenook fireplace. The dining room and kitchen lead off from the sitting room, the kitchen looking out into the private garden beyond. A convenient downstairs bathroom leads off from the boot room area. Upstairs are 3 double bedrooms, two of which have high vaulted ceilings giving a light and spacious feeling. There is also a bathroom finished to a high standard.

From the back door the garden leads out into a private and secluded area with trees and well stocked borders providing an atmospheric and well thought out space ideal for entertaining or relaxing.

Meysey Hampton is a popular rural village, with an outstanding primary school, and an excellent pub (The Mason’s Arms) and church. Nearby Cirencester has an excellent range of shops, cultural and leisure facilities. As well as the usual chain stores and supermarkets (including Waitrose, Tesco, Aldi and Lidl) it has some great individual specialist shops. A number of excellent schools are within daily driving distance, including Farmor’s School in Fairford as well as Hatherop Castle, Pinewood, Beaudesert Park and Rendcomb.

There are many enjoyable walks and an extensive network of bridle paths for riding. A good range of sporting opportunities in the area include various golf courses and racing at Cheltenham and Newbury. There are high profile equestrian events including Badminton and Gatcombe Horse Trials and polo at Westonbirt and Cirencester Park. There is a fast and regular Great Western Train to London Paddington from either Kemble or Swindon stations, the latter from about 55 minutes. Road communications via the A419 dual carriageway with good access to Junction 15 (M4) at Swindon and on to Junction 11a (M5) at Gloucester.

All the main centres of Bath, Bristol, Cheltenham and Oxford are all within daily commuting distance. Cheltenham Spa provides an extensive range of shopping and recreational facilities. It also plays host to a number of annual festivals.

From Cirencester take the A417 east as for Fairford and Lechlade. One mile after leaving Poulton, turn right into Meysey Hampton. Follow this road into the centre, pass the pub on your right and Cottage on the Green will be seen beyond, overlooking the Green.
