To the west, Clophill Road leads to the village centre whilst to the east, Clophill Road provides links to the A507, A6 and Clophill. From Maulden, Flitwick Road/Maulden Road connects to Flitwick where the A5120 can be taken to reach the M1 at Junction 12 for travel to Luton and the South. Alternatively, Ampthill Road can be taken from Maulden to Ampthill, then the B530 and A507 provide access to the M1.

The nearest railway station is located in Flitwick approximately 3.5 miles (5.6km) away and offers services to Bedford (from 12 minutes), Luton (from 12 minutes), London St Pancras (from 49 minutes) and beyond.
