Hunts Tor is an attractive period property; one half dates back to the 1600s and the rest of the house was constructed during the 1900s. The house has been completely renovated by the current owners including stylish redecoration throughout, as well as five new bathrooms, electrics and plumbing. The sensitive renovations have preserved the original features including sash windows, exposed wooden floors and fireplaces. The flexible accommodation is not only ideal as a family home, but the five en suite bedrooms provide potential for an income.
The ground floor reception rooms are accessed from a welcoming reception hall. There is a spacious dual-aspect drawing room with a bay window and an original fireplace with a wood burner, a sitting room, also with a bay window and a fireplace with a wood burner, plus a breakfast room with a 17th century oak block floor, an Aga and a window seat. The breakfast room and kitchen are found at the heart of the home, with an adjoining utility room. The kitchen offers a range of bespoke fitted units and a Range cooker. To the rear of the house is a well-proportioned dual aspect family room with a fireplace and a wood burner.
On the first floor, the property has a spacious dual aspect master bedroom with a decorative period fireplace and a stylish en suite shower room. There are four further very spacious bedrooms, bedrooms three and four with dressing/reception areas and each with new, elegantly furnished en suite bath or shower rooms.
The house has a large attic with four large Velux windows, providing excellent potential for conversion, subject to the purchaser obtaining the relevant building and planning consents.
Hunts Tor has ample parking space in front of the integral garage/workshop. The low-maintenance front garden is bordered by shrubs with a central path to the front door. To the rear, the gardens are laid to lawn, interspersed with mature trees and bordered by mature flowerbeds with a paved seating area, ideal for entertaining and al fresco dining. There is also an additional courtyard area to the rear of the house.
