Willow Cottage is a delightful, six-bedroom, period detached house, set in the heart of the pretty Mid Devon village of Silverton. The majority of the property is under a thatch roof with, it is believed, cob and stone walls. The rear part of the property, once used as an annexe, is under a tiled roof. The property is believed to date back to 16th century and boasts 3,400 square feet of living accommodation with original fireplaces, exposed timber beams and plenty of character. To the rear there are splendid gardens, together with substantial outbuildings, providing useful further storage space or accommodation.

The property may benefit from some modernisation, but nevertheless the accommodation is spacious and flexible. To the front of the property is the 23ft sitting room and large dining room, both of these reception rooms benefit from original fireplaces of particular note is the recessed arch with Queen Anne bookshelves in the dining room. The kitchen and breakfast room offers fitted units to base and wall level, together with space for all of the necessary appliances. On the other side of the corridor there is also a utility room. A study and downstairs shower room can also be found to the rear of the property.

Upstairs there are six well-proportioned bedrooms, including the master, which has its own dressing room, plus a family bathroom. There is also a storage room to the rear of the house.

To the front of the property there is a small area of garden and a driveway, with space for up to two vehicles. To the side there is vehicular access, via a gate, to the rear courtyard, the garage and the Shippon. The Shippon is 41ft long and provides an ideal storage, workshop or studio space. The property also features gardens to the rear, which are mostly laid to lawn, with colourful flowerbeds, mature trees and established hedgerow.
