Mid Lodge is a semi-detached, stone lodge house, thought to date from the early 1800s, complete with its original iron-fenced kennels and large garage, workshop and stores. It occupies 0.4 acres of part-wooded grounds in this beautifully rural location. This property is in need of extensive renovation but has excellent development potential. Including the garage and workshop space, there is approximately 3,112 sq ft of accommodation and scope to create a stunning family home (subject to gaining the necessary consents). The living accommodation in Mid Lodge includes three bedrooms, a galley kitchen, sitting room and family bathroom. There is oil fired central heating throughout and the property benefits from pleasant views over the driveway through deciduous trees to the grazing land beyond. To the west there is a small patio garden and to the east there is a wooded garden area incorporating part of a characterful grassy mound with mature deciduous and coniferous trees. This whole area is a mass of bulbs in spring. There is ample parking to the rear of the Lodge beside the mound and in front of the workshop and kennels. The stone and brick-built workshop and all of the adjoining stores are concrete floored throughout. Accessed through large double doors, it was formerly used as a garage and workshop for farm vehicles and machinery. There is a mains water tap and an inspection pit with west-facing window beyond.
The 2 stone-built kennels are adjoined by a further small store room. With the Lodge and workshop the whole forms a useful sheltered and secluded courtyard area.
This property has 0.4 acres of land.
