Holly Farm House is a pretty Grade II Listed, timber-framed farmhouse set in a private and generous garden. The house is well presented, having been refurbished in recent years to provide comfortable accommodation within the character of a beautiful timber-framed home.
The front door opens to a hall with stairs rise to the first floor. A good sized sitting room is arranged around a deep fireplace with a wood-burning stove and has exposed ceiling timbers and original window mullions. The light wood floor and double aspect make for a bright room.
Beyond, to the back of the house is the well fitted kitchen with an Aga as a centrepiece. The units are arranged beneath granite work surfaces and mellow brick floor. A secondary kitchen area provides excellent further work and utility space with an electric hob and oven as an alternative. With the kitchen to one end the adjoining, loosely open plan dining room, provides a good space for a table adjacent to French doors opening to the garden. Beyond this is a games room, with a vaulted ceiling and windows across two sides.
Across the hall a generous room provides either a study, with doors to the garden, or a practical downstairs bedroom with an en suite shower room and a large store/wardrobe.
On the first floor the principal bedroom has an en suite and there are three further bedrooms on this floor, together with a family bathroom. Stairs continue to the second floor where there is a further en-suite bedroom.
This property has 0.9 acres of land.
Holly Farm House is approached through electric gates beyond which the gravel drive leads to the front of the house and a detached oak framed garage. A mature conifer hedge surrounds much of the property providing privacy and seclusion.
A terrace to the rear of the house gives way to expansive flat lawns with a number of fruit trees. A further outbuilding provides garden storage
