A charming character cottage with open countryside views
Lindfield Cottage is an attractive and welcoming detached family home, with four bedrooms, set in a peaceful countryside location close to the vibrant seaside town of Frinton-on-Sea and the town of Manningtree. The property has been extended and developed over the years, but displays some period detailing, along with light, airy, well-presented accommodation and pleasant gardens overlooking open fields to the rear.
The ground floor has a reception room and dining room, both of which are focused around impressive brick-built fireplaces, which sit back-to- back, both housing woodburning stoves, to help create a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. There is also a garden room to the ground floor, with French windows onto the rear gardens and panoramic windows welcoming plenty of natural light as well as providing outstanding views across the open countryside. The kitchen is fitted with smart cream units and wooden worktops, plus a large range cooker and a Belfast sink.
Upstairs there are four well-proportioned double bedrooms, including the master, which has an en suite bathroom. There is also a family bathroom, shower and WC.
The property is accessed to the front via double five-bar wooden gates, which open onto a paved driveway, providing plenty of parking space for residents and visitors. There is a large double garage, with a workshop space to the rear, while there are gardens to the front, side and back of the house. The gardens have two paved patio rears, to the rear and side aspects, and extensive lawns, with mature trees, shrubs and flowerbeds, plus those delightful views across the open fields.
The property is set in a peaceful rural location on the Tendring Peninsula, close to the splendid seaside towns of Frinton-on-Sea, Walton-onthe Naze and the town of Manningtree. Some of the essential everyday amenities, including several pubs, restaurants, cafes, local stores, a post office, primary schools and Tendring Technology College can be found in the villages of Thorpe-le-Soken, Frinton and Tendring. Extensive range of amenities can be found further afield, including excellent shopping, large supermarkets and superb leisure facilities. The area is well connected by road, with the A120 nearby connecting to the A12 and providing access to Colchester, Stansted Airport, Chelmsford, the M11 and the M25. Thorpe-le- Soken mainline station offers direct services to London Liverpool Street in under an hour and a half.
From Chelmsford, take the A12 north towards Colchester for 22 miles, before exiting onto the A120, towards Clacton and Harwich. After five and a half miles, exit the A120, following the sign for Clacton, and merge onto the A133. After just over two miles, turn left onto Crown Lane, and after a further mile and a quarter, turn right onto The Street (B1035). Turn left after a mile and a half onto Swan Road, and after a further three quarters of a mile, you will find Lucass Lane on your left-hand side. You will find the property on your right-hand side.
