Download brochure

St. Margaret’s is a true hidden gem, an outstanding traditional property which has been lovingly and sensitively restored by the current owners and is set in beautifully presented, private garden grounds. The property blends Victorian style and architecture to create a truly distinctive home brimming with charm, history and grace.

In keeping with the era of the property, there are a host of features which include leaded glass, raised skirtings, ceiling coving and fireplaces.

The property is approached via a stone chipped driveway leading into the beautifully landscaped, colourful gardens. There is a turning circle at the front of the property, space for parking and access to the detached garage. Access is via the entrance vestibule and an original door with leaded glass design leading into the welcoming hallway.

Typically, of properties built in this period the two main public rooms are located on either side of the hallway. The bay windowed drawing room comes with original Canadian stripped pine floorboards; feature fireplace and inset open fire. On the other side of the hallway the sitting room has windows to the front and side, attracting natural light, original window shutters and an open fire. The layout is extremely flexible and further down the hallway is a large home office/ study and double bedroom. The inner hallway leads to the family bathroom and a porch to the side which doubles as a boot room and storage area for outdoor clothing and footwear. The large open plan kitchen, dining, sitting area is a truly magnificent part of the house and overlooks the rear gardens. This very bright, welcoming family space flows seamlessly and includes a bespoke country style kitchen with an extensive range of wall and base storage units, Rayburn and Belfast sink. The use of windows and French doors helps to bring the outside in and creates a wonderful bright living space. There is space for a large dining table and chairs and at the other end from the kitchen there is a sitting area with wood burning stove. There is an external utility adjacent to the boot room/porch which provides additional storage and space for white goods.

A carpeted staircase leads to the upper level where there are four, well proportioned double bedrooms and a family shower room.

One of the benefits of a property such as St. Margaret’s is the flexibility of accommodation. The layout and proportions will suit a variety of buyers, as will the privacy and tranquil surroundings. Located adjacent to the main house is a modern detached garage/workshop. This is a great addition to the property and includes double garage, storage area, boiler room, hopper room and workshop. A staircase leads to the upper level, which is currently used as a cinema room.

This property has 1 acres of land.
