Burgate Lodge sits in an elevated position enjoying stunning views of Blackdown and the South Downs in the distance. The property is accessed off a quiet lane onto a gravel driveway where there is parking and a double garage. From the house, French doors lead out from both the breakfast/dining room and family room on to a wide terrace, taking full advantage of the fabulous views. Steps lead down to the swimming pool area with extensive York Stone terracing providing a wonderful outdoor entertaining space, imaginatively planted and interspersed with raised drystone beds, and a summer house, currently used as a gym. One of the most splendid features of the property is the substantial barn with snooker table and large screen, which sits adjacent to the main house and provides the perfect venue for entertaining, with bi-fold doors opening out on to the garden. Adjacent to the house and beneath the garage is a very useful self-contained utility/boot room with WC and shower which is currently used for laundry and as a pool changing room. The property is south-west facing with the beautiful well-maintained private gardens sweeping down from the house. The grounds have a variety of mature trees including oak and beech, with additionally planted specimen trees and shrubs, such as hibiscus, magnolia, olive and hydrangea. At the bottom of the garden is the tennis court which is screened behind a mature beech hedge, where there is also a large shed with an electricity supply.
