A stunning house offering excellent entertaining space, with garden and grounds of about 4 acres

This imposing residence of new classical design occupies a wonderful rural position to take full advantage of the outstanding farmland views. The house incorporates many modern benefits such as underfloor heating to the ground-floor yet retains period features that include high ceilings and detailed cornicing.

From the impressive portico with Tuscan columns a wide entrance door with fan light gives access to the fine reception hall. An atrium provides lots of natural light down through the part-galleried second and first floors. The striking reception hall floor with contrasting keys gives access to all principal reception rooms. The drawing room has an open fireplace and has double doors through to the orangery which in turn opens onto the terrace.

Further double doors from the drawing room open into the dining room which has a wood burner and French windows to the garden. The study overlooks the front entrance and the family room has access to the side terrace and garden. Stretching from the front of the house through to the rear, the kitchen/breakfast room is a fantastic space with bespoke units, integrated appliances, Aga, central island and granite worktops. There is also a useful pantry and utility whilst the boot room gives access to the side of the house. From the breakfast area French windows open onto the terrace and lawn beyond.

The principal bedroom offers a generous private bathroom with separate shower and balcony. The guest bedroom has en-suite shower room and there are a further four double bedrooms and family bathroom.

The second floor accommodation comprises a games room/cinema room, large seventh bedroom and separate bath/shower room. Additionally, there is extensive eaves storage.

This property has 4 acres of land.

Towards the far end of the garden there is a tennis court, beyond which through a beech hedge and double gates access is given to a further area of lawn. There is also separate vehicular access onto the lane.

Beyond the garaging is a large barn incorporating two stores and a mezzanine offering the potential for a variety of uses. Attached are three stables.
