A detailed planning application (REF: 18/01345/F) was submitted by Greenwing Development Ltd on 25th August 2018. Planning Permission was granted by Cherwell District Council on 25th October 2018. The scheme provides for the development of two, 4 bedroom dwellings, with the benefit of on plot parking and garages. A copy of the decision notice is provided in the Information Pack. Plot 1 will utilise the existing access into the site and Plot 2 will require a new access to be created. The village itself has a population of 1,204 (2011 Census) and benefits from several amenities including two public houses, a post office, a butcher, a church, a parish hall and Launton C of E School (OFSTED: Good). Launton is situated approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) east of Bicester, 12 miles (19 km) south west of Buckingham, 16 miles (26 km) north west of Aylesbury and 17.5 miles (28 km) north east of Oxford. The site is located within close proximity to local transport hubs, with regular bus services to Bicester, Oxford and Buckingham. The nearest railway station is Bicester North, which provides regular services to Oxford, Banbury, Birmingham and London Marylebone. Launton is well connected to the A41, which connects Bicester with Aylesbury. Junction 9 of the M40 motorway is located circa 5.5 miles (9 km) to the south west, which connects with the A34, M25 and M42.
From the Main Bicester Road in the village turn left opposite The Bull Inn into Station Road and the land will be found approximately 150 metres on your right hand side.Read all
