A substantial 1930s house in a beautiful garden

Bromlegh is a superb example of a classic 1930s property, with substantial and elegant rooms, large sash windows providing ample levels of natural light, and fine detailing inside and out. A generous garden with a wonderful selection of mature trees sits to the rear, along with an indoor swimming pool. Folkestone West is close by and provides regular High Speed services to London St Pancras in under an hour.

The front door sits beneath an ornate, pillared porch which opens into a vestibule with doors to the large and welcoming reception hall, where attention is immediately drawn to the wonderful solid wood staircase. The three sizeable receptions rooms are all accessed from here, each with an abundance of natural light and overlooking the attractive rear garden.

The drawing room and dining room are substantial bright rooms, the former having a range of fitted shelving and storage. The sitting room has a door to the rear terrace, presenting an ideal setting for al fresco dining.

The kitchen/breakfast room is well fitted, complete with a pantry, laundry room, boiler room and boot room with doors to the side and front of the property. A second vestibule provides access to the cloakroom and double garage, which leads through to the indoor swimming pool with doors to the garden.

The first floor landing provides access to the master bedroom with en suite bathroom, three large double bedrooms with garden views, a smaller double and a separate WC. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes. A family bathroom and useful laundry room are located at the west end of the house.

Stairs rise to the second floor which comprises two double bedrooms and a single bedroom, a bathroom with separate WC, and a store room.

The flexible layout of the house would allow for easy division for multiple generations to live together, or the potential to provide additional income from B&B or holiday lets/rental.

Outside

An in and out drive sits to the front of the house with generous off-road parking and a large double garage.

The rear garden is beautifully private with a variety of tall mature trees that provide a wonderful woodland feel. A summer house with electricity is tucked away to the end of the garden, opening out to a relaxed outdoor seating area. A log store, green house, small brick built store and large storage shed with power and light also feature.
