15 Bank Street
1 The Pound is a charming period property, with three bedrooms and cosy accommodation, set in the centre of the picturesque Kent village of Knockholt. Believed to date back to the late eighteenth century, this quaint property is well presented throughout, with plenty of character, while also benefitting from a central village location and proximity to Sevenoaks, with its fast commuter services to London.
To the ground floor there is an impressive 30ft reception room and kitchen, providing comfortable, open-plan living with exposed timbers to the walls and ceiling. The kitchen is well equipped with smart units, an integrated hob and oven, Belfast sink and space for all of the necessary white appliances. There is also a useful study to the ground floor, while upstairs there are three generous bedrooms, including the master, with its separate dressing room. The bedrooms are served by a shower room, while there is a further cloakroom to the ground floor.
The property also benefits from a substantial cellar, which provides useful additional storage space, or the potential to be converted into further accommodation.
The property occupies an end-of-terrace, corner position, with on-street parking available to the side of the house. To the rear, there is a gated entrance for vehicles, with a large garage, which is currently used as storage space, but could be converted.
The property has a thoroughly pleasant paved and decked, west-facing rear garden, which provides plenty of space to relax, dine or entertain, or can be used as additional parking space, accessed via double wooden gates to the side of the property.
The property is located in the pretty village of Knockholt, four miles north of the popular town of Sevenoaks. Sevenoaks offers a comprehensive range of educational, recreational and shopping facilities, together with a mainline station with services to London Cannon Street/Charing Cross in approximately 30 to 35 minutes.
Knockholt mainline station also offers direct services to London Cannon Street (40 minutes) or regular fast services to London via Sevenoaks. The A21 is easily accessible linking with the M25 and other motorway networks, Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted and City Airports, Bluewater Shopping Centre, the Channel Tunnel and both Ebbsfleet and Ashford International Stations.
Within a short distance, there are a good selection of highly regarded state and private schools. Knole Park, with approximately 1,000 acres of parkland is close by and is one of the last remaining medieval deer parks.
