Communications are excellent with the A303 and A30 junctions approximately 2.5 miles north.

The Test Valley is renowned for its natural beauty with numerous walks and rides within the valley itself and adjoining farmland. The Hampshire Golf Club can be found close by with further courses at Andover, Leckford and High Post near Salisbury. The nearby River Test offers excellent chalk stream fishing.

Clatford CE Primary School is in the next village and there is a very good selection of independent schools including Farleigh within 1 mile, Chafyn Grove and Godolphin in Salisbury, Pilgrims School, Winchester College and St Swithun's in Winchester.

Directions

From Winchester take the Stockbridge Road and at the roundabout turn right towards Leckford & Andover (A3057). Continue through Leckford, past The Mayfly pub, eventually turning left to Goodworth Clatford. At the T junction turn right & head to Upper Clatford. Proceed through the village and after a hard left and right hand bend you will come to Valley Rise on the left opposite Balksbury Hill. Copthall Place will be on your left.
