The main house is believed to date from the 17th Century with later additions and has attractive brick, whitewashed and tile hung elevations, all under a mainly pitched clay tile roof. The house provides well-arranged and interesting accommodation over two floors and retains many period features including honey coloured exposed wall and ceiling timbers, wood burning stoves in both the drawing room and sitting room/dining room, and there is an inglenook fireplace in the drawing room and two attractive corner cupboards. Other features of note include double doors giving access to the garden from both the sitting room/dining room and the kitchen/breakfast room. The kitchen/breakfast room is fitted with a range of attractive cream fronted units and from the kitchen/breakfast room a wide opening leads through into the snug. Listed Building Consent was granted by Wealden District Council on the 29th of October 2018 under reference WD/2018/1600/LB for internal modifications to the kitchen, removal of one element of external wall and addition of an orangery. Copies of the plans can be found on www.wealden.gov.uk. Prospective purchasers are advised that they should make their own enquiries of Wealden District Council. In addition to the main house, there are two separate cottages providing added flexibility.

Gildridge is approached through electronically operated gates. The entrance drive is bound on either side by paddock areas and leads past the weatherboard and tile garaging, the swimming pool complex and the two cottages leading to a wide parking area. Adjacent to the parking area is the further garage/garden tractor store.
The landscaped gardens and grounds surround the house and provide a lovely setting for the property. There is a wide stone paved terrace which runs the length of two sides of the house and a stone path leads from the terrace to an attractive circular paved seating area which is ideal for al fresco dining. The remainder of the garden is laid to sweeping expanses of lawn with a series of attractive ponds and clipped hedges. Situated between the swimming pool complex and all weather floodlit tennis court is an attractive pergola with various climbing plants and outside lighting.
Lying a short distance to the south east of the main house is a magnificent swimming pool complex which has an environmental controlled system to maintain temperature and humidity. The heated pool is set into a wide tiled surround with space for several seating areas, pool table and gym equipment. Also included in the pool area is a part raised spa. From the pool area glazed sliding doors give access to Cottage 1.
The second cottage and the garaging are situated to the other side of the entrance drive a short distance from the swimming pool complex. About 6.5 acres.
