With close links to the local community, the friendly team at Strutt & Parker’s Chichester office is responsible for the sale of best in class properties within the city and the surrounding villages, an area which encompasses the South Downs National Park with its rolling hills and bustling market towns and the natural, unspoilt beaches and recreational facilities of Chichester Harbour an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We understand and specialise in the sale of elegant townhouses and apartments within Chichester’s historic city walls, along with period village houses and modern and contemporary seaside properties in sought after locations, such as Bosham, The Witterings and Goodwood. From Brighton in the east to The Hamble and Southampton Water in the west, and south to St Catherine’s Point on the Isle of Wight, Strutt & Parker’s south coast offices have, over the last few years, been selling some of the finest waterside properties.
The local waterside team is led by Paul Machell working out of the Chichester office in West Sussex, where we are privileged to have one of the most idyllic of settings taking in wonderful waterside views with the backdrop of the stunning landscape of the South Downs National Park. The Waterside Estate Agency Team handles some of the most sensational seaside homes, from contemporary beachside properties with breath-taking views to more traditional homes and hidden gems located in tucked away positions bordering the water; we also work with purpose-built harbour side developments which often offer the convenience of private mooring facilities.
This area is a haven of natural, unspoilt beaches and exceptional recreational facilities, offering possibly the foremost boating opportunities the UK has to offer. Some of the best known sailing clubs can be found on the south coast, namely The Royal Southern at Hamble, The Royal Ocean Racing Club at Cowes on the Isle of Wight, Bosham, Itchenor, Hayling Island (home to many highly accomplished sailors) and Portsmouth, home to the latest America’s Cup Challenge inspired by the iconic Sir Ben Ainslie. Chichester Harbour is internationally renowned for its bird life, coastal habitats and huge variety of plants and animals which live in and around the harbour. A number of Common Seals, also known as Harbour Seals, live in the Solent and are also often seen in Chichester Harbour.
From the A27 south of Chichester travel towards the centre of the City from the Fishbourne roundabout, continue straight across at the next two roundabouts turning left at the third into Via Ravenna. Continue straight across at the next roundabout ( Westgate) and at the next ( Metro House and Fire station ) take the third exit into the Theatre public car park at the head of pedestrianised North Street. Our office will be found at No 31 on the right hand side.
There is a railway station in Chichester at the end of South Street, about 5-10minutes walk from our office.
Park either in the Theatre car park or St Cyriacs and walk through into Crane Street and on to North Street.
What our clients have to say
We have sold a number of properties in the past but this one has been pretty trouble free and straightforward, which is in no small part down to the professional and efficient way you have all seen the sale through, from the initial visit to the completion today.
Despite the difficult market conditions, the team at Strutt and Parker did a great job of producing a steady stream of potential buyers. In particular their national network really kicked in, particularly London.
I am delighted that I chose Strutt & Parker to act for me. The staff are diligent, approachable, and have consistently provided me with the utmost of attention. I have been really impressed the high level of service that the Chichester team provides.
