Best Places for Burns Night in Edinburgh

Q1 2017

If you need an excuse to get over your dry January resolutions, a night of whisky, haggis, neeps and tatties for Burns Night is just round the corner on Wednesday 25th January!

Burns night, held in honour of Scotland’s most famous poet, Robert Burns, and is celebrated on his birthday, 25th January. This year he would have been 221.

The Edinburgh Team at Strutt & Parker have chosen their favourite places for Burns Night in Edinburgh:

A great night in a spectacular converted church just off Princes Street where you look up to the Castle enjoy a 3 course meal with plenty of whisky before dancing the night away to one of Scotland’s top Ceilidh Bands – a real Scottish treat!

A delicious 3 course meal in the Contini Restaurant located at the stunning National Gallery with dancing till Midnight – I went here last year and had a great time!

If you’re after an afternoon sampling a range of Scotland’s best whisky’s, the Whiski Rooms do excellent taster sessions where you can work your way through six drams from Scotland’s finest distilleries – I went here last year before dinner and the six Whisky’s definitely helped my dancing later on!
