Modern Slavery Act Transparency Statement

This statement sets out Strutt & Parker’s actions to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business and to put in place steps that are aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our business and our supply chains.

This statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2016.

We are committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our corporate activities and improving our practices to ensure, in so far as possible, that there is no slavery and human trafficking within our supply chains. Our Anti-slavery and Human Trafficking Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

The nature of our businesses means that our supply chain is predominantly limited to the clients that we deal with directly. As such, we have not identified any activities within our business that could have a high risk of slavery or human trafficking. We, therefore, have not identified any specific additional steps that we need to take within our organisation.

Strutt & Parker operates the following policies that include details of our approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its operations:

  • Whistleblowing policy - We encourage all of our employees, clients and other business partners to report any concerns related to the activities of the organisation or its employees and contractors. The organisation's whistleblowing procedure (known as the Public Interest Disclosure Policy) is designed to make it easy for employees to make disclosures, without fear of retaliation.
  • Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy - We encourage all of our employees to report any concerns.

We undertake appropriate due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers or contractors and regularly reviews its existing supplier and contractor arrangements.

This statement has been approved by Strutt & Parker’s Partners, who will review and update it annually.
