Offered with no onward chain, Vine Cottage is a delightful attached period home which boasts a wealth of original details, including exposed elm beams and impressive fireplaces. The property offers light and airy accommodation with all the main rooms being dual or triple aspect. The front door opens into a welcoming entrance hall with its terracotta floor tiling and panelled walls. The reception rooms includes a comfortable sitting room with elm floorboards and an Inglenook fireplace. The drawing room is currently configured as an artist’s studio with French windows and a wood burning stove. At the heart of this home is a light filled kitchen with painted wood units, maple worktops, flag stone floor, a five door Aga and space for a large dining table. An original spiral staircase has been cleverly repurposed as a larder. The first floor offers three well presented double bedrooms, including the principal bedroom with en suite bath/shower room with its freestanding roll top bathtub, two further double bedrooms, one with en suite shower room, and a family bathroom. Three attic bedrooms are arranged across the second floor. Vine Cottage has been significantly improved by the current owners, with heritage hardwood double glazing installed throughout most of the house and zoned, internet-enabled oil fired central heating.

Outside

At the front, the cottage opens onto peaceful Mill Lane which ends just a few yards away. There is a gated entrance to the side of the property which opens onto a gravel drive providing parking for several cars. The pretty, south facing garden with established flower beds has a sheltered patio area, ideal for al fresco dining and entertaining, with steps leading up to a well-maintained lawn, dotted with mature trees and bordered by established hedgerows. The property also includes an insulated green oak double garage with log burner, electricity and internet connectivity, which currently functions as an office, gym and games room with ample storage in the roof space. There is planning permission for construction of an additional garage to the side of the property (planning ref 21/0094/HHD).
