Strutt & Parker has been named UK Sales Agency of the Year at the prestigious RESI Awards 2016.
The awards, organised by Property Week, are widely considered to be the Oscars of the residential development industry and were attended by 1,300 industry professionals, including agents, developers and advisors, on 11 May at The Grosvenor House Hotel.
Strutt & Parker was successful against a stellar shortlist including Knight Frank, JLL, Savills, Chestertons and CBRE. The judges awarded Strutt & Parker with the award having recognised its growth and successes within the London residential development market. From a standing start seven years ago, the team at Strutt & Parker - led by Mark Dorman and Matt Tack - has gone from strength to strength, working alongside its national development team to grow market share and make exciting acquisitions. On top of the successes of the developments teams, the judges also commented on the fact that Strutt & Parker had growth across all areas of their residential business, highly impressive in a slowing market.
The team has now generated a remarkable £7bn pipeline of new build sales totalling over 3,500 apartments across landmark development projects including The Television Centre, One Kensington Gardens, One Nine Elms and Ten Trinity Square. The judges were particularly impressed that the business had worked on 3,250 residential transactions last year including a £40m penthouse deal in Kensington.
Andy Martin, Senior Partner at Strutt & Parker said: “This is an outstanding achievement, not least because all of our competitors in this category have much larger and longer-established teams than us. It is wonderful that we have been noticed for our achievements over and above the competition.”
Mark Dorman, Head of London Residential Development & Investment at Strutt & Parker, said: “After seven years of incredibly hard work, this is our moment of recognition from the industry.”
