Strutt & Parker has been named UK Sales Agency of the Year at the prestigious RESI Awards 2017, for an unprecedented second year running.
The awards, organised by Property Week, are widely considered to be the Oscars of the residential development industry and were attended by 1,200 industry professionals, including agents, developers and advisors, on 10 May at The Grosvenor House Hotel.
Strutt & Parker was successful against a stellar shortlist including Knight Frank, JLL, Savills and CBRE. The judges awarded Strutt & Parker the accolade having recognised its growth and successes both within development and its estate agency business.
In London development, the judges were impressed by the team’s continued success in sales at projects like Television Centre in White City, its advisory role on land transactions across the city and its growing pipeline of business, now totalling £8 billion in new homes. Particular mention was given to the firm’s landmark instruction on The Peninsula Residences project in Belgravia. They also recognised the business’s progress in national development with significant deals in the land market, along with meaningful growth in the planning arena.
The judges also specifically commented that Strutt & Parker had achieved some exciting results across the country in estate agency, increasing market share and expanding geographically in a tough market.
Andy Martin, Senior Partner at Strutt & Parker said: “Winning this award two years in succession is an outstanding achievement and recognises all of the hard work our teams have put in over the past 12 months. It is fantastic that we have been noticed again for our achievements, over and above the competition.”
Mark Dorman, Head of London Residential Development & Investment at Strutt & Parker, said: “Winning this award last year was our moment of recognition in the industry; winning this year has cemented our place in the market and will incentivise us to continue to grow and provide our clients with an even better service in the future.”
