Strutt & Parker, part of BNP Paribas Real Estate, is pleased to announce two key senior appointments. Gary Higgins joins as Managing Director, and Tamerah Couchman as Head of Marketing & Client Experience. These strategic appointments reflect a pivotal moment in Strutt & Parker’s journey, following targeted investment to reinforce its leadership across the rural and residential property sectors.
As Managing Director, Gary will be responsible for steering Strutt & Parker through its next phase of its growth strategy, focusing on expanding its market share in existing and emerging markets, as well as strengthening its UK network. He will work closely with the executive leadership team and key stakeholders to develop and execute the company’s new strategy; and deliver the new updated financial targets.
Gary joins Strutt & Parker from BNP Paribas in London, where he spent 20 years in senior leadership roles, most recently Managing Director, UK Corporate Client Coverage. During his time at the bank, he advised high-profile clients in a number of sectors including Construction, Pharmaceutical and Media.
Tamerah Couchman, in her new role, will lead Strutt & Parker’s marketing and client experience strategy, reinforcing the company’s reputation for service excellence with clients across all sectors. Tamerah joins from Carter Jonas and brings a wealth of experience in estate agency, rural and commercial property marketing.
Etienne Prongue, CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate UK, commented: “These appointments underscore our dedication to investing in strong leadership and driving measurable impact across our operations and markets.
“With a renewed focus on strategic growth, the consultancy is well-positioned to support clients in navigating a rapidly evolving property landscape. Gary’s proven track record of delivering results in competitive markets, alongside Tamerah’s extensive property marketing experience make them exceptionally well-positioned to lead Strutt & Parker through the next phase of growth.”
The appointments build on earlier strategic leadership moves for Strutt & Parker, including the appointment of Kate Moisson as Head of Rural earlier this year.
Commenting on his new role, Gary Higgins, Managing Director of Strutt & Parker said: “I am excited to join Strutt & Parker at such a pivotal time. We have a well-defined strategy, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results through our focus on technology, innovation and high-quality service.
“I look forward to working with Guy Robinson, Head of Residential, Kate Moisson, Head of Rural and Tamerah Couchman to build on the company’s strong foundation and unlock new opportunities to drive growth and generate long-term value for our shareholders.”
Tamerah Couchman commented on joining the consultancy: “Strutt & Parker is a brand with exceptional heritage and client trust. I’m looking forward to elevating this further through best-in-class marketing and a seamless client experience.”
