Agency announces newly created brokerage to work alongside traditional offices
Today, Strutt & Parker announces the creation of its hybrid agency operation in London following months of strategic appointments by the firm into a newly formed broker team. The estate agency, founded in 1885, is set to redefine its position in the industry, expand market share, and extend into growing markets following investment from shareholder BNP Paribas last year.
Since September 2025, Strutt & Parker has appointed a number of top-flight brokers working under Claire Reynolds. Andrew Chambers, Toby Downes, Minnie Stainrod, and Zach Madison all joined the agency since September 2025, and work alongside existing brokers Charles Medina, Hugh Ball and Sarah James, each having an average 21 years’ experience in their field. James Gow, Senior Director, former Head of London Sales and Head of Sales in Strutt & Parker’s Kensington office has also been appointed to the broker team.
Claire Reynolds, UK Head of Sales at Strutt & Parker, comments, “Since I joined the business last summer, we’ve been strategically strengthening our London estate agency offering to enable us to build a brokerage team that sits alongside our existing office network. Strutt & Parker is a unique business, and one that occupies an enviable position in the industry; we are a heritage brand backed by Europe’s leading bank, BNP Paribas. As the industry evolves, our size enables us to leverage our ability to both future-proof our business and pivot our structure to place top talent directly into new markets. By integrating brokers within our office network, Strutt & Parker is redefining agency in Prime Central and Prime Outer London.”
The broker network has been carefully structured to work cohesively in conjunction with established offices of Notting Hill, Kensington, Fulham, Chelsea SW10, Chelsea SW3, South Kensington, Knightsbridge & Belgravia and sits within the Private Client department, covering both sales and lettings, with all brokers recruited as permanent contracted employees of Strutt & Parker.
The estate agency claims this adapted operational model delivers three main benefits. The combined brokerage and office model amplifies the trusted relationship and high-level service clients expect from Strutt & Parker, as well as further meeting clients’ property needs. Secondly, it helps preserve the collegiate and client-centric culture of Strutt & Parker, where pride in exceptional service delivery is central to operations. The third is the additional career path for agents that has been created. While traditionally the industry marks management as the pinnacle of success, this model recognises and supports success both within and outside a traditional office setting.
Gary Higgins, Managing Director at Strutt & Parker, adds, “Claire’s strategic evolution of our London business has taken our agency operation to the next level and is instrumental to our growth plans. She is the only person in our industry who has worked at a high level of management and operations in corporate estate agency and also successfully built a broker-only model. In spearheading this strategy, Claire’s rare knowledge has enabled us to fuse brokerage with traditional agency in a cohesive, and future-proofed manner. The benefits will positively impact our clients, our people, and our business both now and in the future.”
Strutt & Parker is progressing its growth plans throughout 2026, with a number of appointments set to be announced over the coming weeks. The expansion plans are not limited to broker recruits, but also include the development and expansion of existing teams within and outside the capital.
