George moves to lead the Oxford team following his role as head of the firm’s Ascot & Sunningdale office where, since founding the office in 2019, he has successfully built up Strutt & Parker’s presence in this corner of Berkshire. George’s move to Oxfordshire takes him west and closer to where he started his estate agency career almost 10 years ago in Marlborough with Hamptons. Prior to Strutt & Parker, George was part of Knight Frank’s Ascot team.
George will be working closely with Giles Lawton, previous Head of Office in Oxford, who recently moved into the estate agency’s National Country House Department. George is joining an established team of residential agents in Oxford who handle both sales and lettings within Oxford and the surrounding countryside, alongside a multi-disciplinary team which covers land management, farming, planning, residential development and farm agency.
Kate Eales, Head of Regional Residential Agency comments, “George has gone from strength-to-strength since joining us in 2019 and this move marks an exciting time for our office in Oxford. We’re confident that George will unlock the potential in this notoriously competitive market and we look forward to seeing Strutt & Parker strengthen its presence in Oxfordshire.”
George Hughes, Director, Head of
Residential Sales, Oxford, says, “This is a fantastic opportunity and move for
me and I’m excited to work with those already in Oxford, as well looking to
build the team further. I’ll be working closely with our neighbouring offices
in the Cotswolds, as well as Newbury, Pangbourne and Henley-on-Thames, as we
build our footprint across the city and countryside.”
