Strutt & Parker is proud to announce the opening of a new national estate agency office on 16 Park Street in Windsor town centre, headed up by Jo Chadwick and her team Alex Webster and Liz Beales. Working in harmony with their Ascot office, the new Strutt & Parker east Berkshire team will accommodate residential sales and lettings in Windsor town and the surrounding villages.

The opening of the new Windsor office will bring the total number of Strutt & Parker branches across the UK to 67, ten of those in prime central London. This comes a year after Strutt & Parker was acquired by BNP Paribas Real Estate, one of the leading international real estate providers which generated €811m revenues in 2017.

Guy Robinson, Head of Residential, sees the expansion as another commitment to the strength of the UK’s property market. He comments, “The luxury real estate sector outside of London, which includes properties worth more than £2 million, was strongest in the Southeast during the first quarter of this year. We had previously been serving the Windsor market from our Ascot branch, but with demand only growing each month, it makes sense for us to be present here with our own dedicated office that allows us to give our clients the best service possible.”

The new Head of Office, Jo Chadwick, has been selling property in Windsor for the last 13 years, gaining a wealth of experience in the sector. She says, “I have been incredibly privileged to sell some of the town’s most historic houses, gaining an immense amount of knowledge and a long list of valuable contacts along the way. Windsor is vibrant and never fails to surprise me – a soulful town which exudes elegance, charm and community.”

Set on the banks of the River Thames and dominated by the beautiful and imposing 11th Century Castle built by William the Conqueror, Windsor offers something for everyone, from beautifully restored period flats in the centre of town, to executive housing developments on the outskirts. In particular, the market has benefitted from upmarket housing options for discerning buyers.

Jo says, “Park Street features stately Georgian homes, while the ‘Golden Triangle’ of Frances Road, Kings Road and Adelaide Square boasts large detached and semi-detached Victorian houses with intricate ironwork and cosy historic cottages on tree-lined roads. Just outside the town, traditional country homes with family gardens are more common.”

“It is clear that property values in Windsor are balancing out from the unusually fast growth we saw in 2014/15, adjusting to the recent cooling London market. But as property prices remain much lower than in the commuter heartlands of south-west London, buyer demand remains steady. The tourist economy keeps visitor numbers high, and there are more overseas buyers for the top end of the market – a trend which we expect to grow as many view Windsor in line with London as a safe haven.”

To celebrate the office opening, Strutt & Parker will be offering free 3D walk-throughs to their first 1,000 new listings in the UK from October 1st. Matterport technology will give would-be homebuyers a new way to view properties – a fully immersive virtual reality (VR) tour available from the click of a button.

Although VR has been used in the property industry for some time now, Strutt & Parker are the first agents offering it as part of their set marketing package. Imported from America, Matterport offers cutting edge technology that is a huge leap forwards from grainier attempts at 3D modelling of previous years. The 3D ‘dolls house’ view allows users to smoothly navigate through the home, gliding past each room in crystal clear definition.

Jo says, “The Matterport service is all about making the homebuying process as easy and efficient as possible. Moving house can be very stressful, and we are constantly looking for ways to improve our service and improve the experience for both buyers and sellers. In a world where so many people are time poor, Matterport offers an opportunity to view a property in a realistic way, from the comfort of your own home.”

“Windsor is a thriving and fast paced market and in providing the very best service I understand first-hand how important it is to be available and flexible to meet the needs of buyers and homeowners.”
