Bransbury Mill, Hampshire

River Dever

This Grade II Listed former mill house has a mile and a quarter of fishing along a prime chalk stream in Hampshire. The property is a wonderful 17th century home that has been in the same family for many decades. Whilst you’re close to both Winchester and Andover, Bransbury Mill feels incredibly secluded and peaceful – thanks to the 22.21 acres of land and riverside gardens which have been carefully maintained to boost biodiversity of both fauna and flora. The River Dever’s beat, one of the main tributaries of the world-famous River Test, has an impressive stock of wild brown trout, as well as grayling.

East Farm, Dorset

River Tarrant

A Georgian farmhouse in the popular village of Tarrant Monkton, with its highly regarded pub, The Langton Arms, and farm shop at Launceston Farm. The home has just under five acres of grounds, which include rolling lawns, paddocks, and water meadows which lead down to the picturesque chalk-bed River Tarrant. Riparian Rights apply for those who enjoy fishing, and the paddocks offer wonderful grazing for both livestock and horses.

Junction Beat, Scotland

River Tweed

On the market for the first time in 50 years, the Junction Beat is one of the best beats on the River Tweed; it’s understood to be one of the most productive stretches of Atlantic Salmon Fishing in Europe. Extending to almost 100 miles from its source near Moffat in Dumfriesshire to the North Sea at Berwick-upon-Tweed, the Tweed is one of the longest rivers in the British Isles and the beat here is particularly renowned for both its spring salmon and its sea trout. There’s a timber-built fishing hut overlooking one of the 12 pools.

Waterhouse Farm, Devon

River Yarty

This five-bedroom country house is glorious inside and out, with immaculate interiors, landscaped gardens, and river frontage along the River Yarty. The home has wonderful features throughout, from soaring ceiling heights to its large sash windows. Outside, there’s manicured lawns, wildflower meadows, and fields of pasture – amounting to more than 70 acres of land. The river meanders through the northern field and there’s fishing rights along the entire owned bank.

The Mill House, Wiltshire

River Wylye

With the mill stream and River Wylye meandering through the 2.8 acres of gardens and into the water meadows beyond, this five-bedroom mill house has a truly idyllic setting. The home might not be Listed but it has a fascinating history. Standing in the centre of the river is a statue, known as ‘The Wylye Boy’, which dates back to the early 18th century when the Earl of Pembroke collected it during the Grand Tour.  Today, the home comes with fishing rights and the river is stocked with good sized trout and grayling.
