Q3 2013

National property firm Strutt & Parker and the UK’s No1 free shoot finder GunsOnPegs have announced the results of The Game Shooting & Fishing Census 2013.

National property firm Strutt & Parker and the UK’s No1 free shoot finder GunsOnPegs have announced the results of The Game Shooting & Fishing Census 2013.

With nearly 4,000 participants overall, the Census is the largest of its kind ever to be conducted. The highly anticipated results reveal significant facts about the habits and expectations of guns, rods and shoot and fishery owners alike in what is a key sector for the land owning community.

The Census covers an extremely thorough range of topics; everything from the type of shoots guns favour to prices and hospitality. The full results of the Census were discussed at the 2013 Game Fair by James Horne, CEO of GunsOnPegs and Rhodri Thomas, a partner at Strutt & Parker.

Rhodri Thomas believes: “The Census discloses important data about what guns really want and what shoot owners do and might consider providing for them”.

James Horne comments: “the results of the Census provide key information on the behaviour and outlooks of guns, rods and owners. This is ground breaking for the sport and lifts the lid on where game shoot owners and fishery owners are missing crucial specifics about their prospective client’s needs.”
