The Royal Garden Hotel at 2 Kensington High Street, London W8 has agreed to lease its 5,100 sq ft gym space to Anytime Fitness.
The Royal Garden Hotel had previously operated its own health and fitness facilities and has now made the decision to let the space to Anytime Fitness. The fitness franchise has taken the space on a 15 year lease.
Anytime Fitness is currently refurbishing the space and will be open to the public in September 2014. There are currently 2,400 Anytime Fitness clubs located across the world with upwards of 2 million members.
In 2012 the Royal Garden Hotel let its former casino to Piers Adams and Nick House for their Bodo’s Schloss nightspot.
Will Moss, partner in Central London Retail at Strutt & Parker, who acted for The Royal Garden Hotel on both deals said: “The Royal Garden Hotel has been quick to respond to the changing attitudes and needs of its guests by adapting its leisure provision appropriately. Anytime Fitness will ensure that the hotel can offer the most up to date facilities in a superior setting; this strategy of acknowledging consumer demands ensures that it remains one of West London’s premium hotels.”
Strutt & Parker acted on behalf of The Royal Garden Hotel.
