Strutt & Parker rural consultants in running for awards success

Q3 2018

Strutt & Parker is enjoying shortlist success in two major rural awards.

David Canty, head of the farming department in the St Albans office of Strutt & Parker, has been shortlisted in the 2018 Farmers Weekly Farm Adviser of the Year category.

David, who joined Strutt & Parker in 2004, was nominated by one of his clients in recognition of David’s contribution to helping the farm business successfully expand.

As a finalist, he was recently visited by the Farmers Weekly judging team for a three-hour tour and interview.

Afterwards the judges commented: “David has the ability to make himself indispensable to his clients through his broad-ranging knowledge base and attention to detail, and is absolutely focused on achieving their objectives.”

The final winner of the category will be announced at a ceremony on 4 October 2018 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Meanwhile, John Clegg & Co, Strutt & Parker’s specialist forestry arm, has been shortlisted in the Wales & Northern Ireland Best Rural Professional Services Business category of the Rural Business Awards 2018/19.

John Clegg & Co operates across the UK, but the shortlisted team is the one which covers England and Wales, headed by Mike Tustin, providing advice to clients on woodland values, strategic management, acquisition and forestry investment.

The winners of this category will be announced at an awards ceremony on Tuesday 16 October 2018 at the Kimnel, Abergele in Wales.
