Windsor Area

Windsor is a historic market town known for its imposing castle, which is still used regularly as a royal residence. Located just under an hour from the Capital, and with easy access to both Heathrow and Gatwick, Windsor offers visitors a chance to enjoy quintessential England.

Surrounding Villages

  • Bray
    Also known as Bray on Thames, this large village sits on the banks of the Thames, to the southeast of Maidenhead. This sleepy Berkshire village of Bray boasts seven Michelin stars in total, including two of Britain’s 5 three-Michelin-star restaurants it’s a magnet for people who take their food extremely seriously and well worth a visit but make sure you are hungry.
  • Holyport
    Situated just off the M4 is a suburban Village in the parish of Bray, and about 2 miles south of Maidenhead town centre. Holyport boasts four public houses, each have been established for many years. The village also has Holyport church of England Primary School, Holyport college and Holyport Cricket club.
  • Englefield Green
    Located just outside Windsor is a popular village to visit in the summer with regular cricket matches on the green. It is home to Royal Holloway University of London, the south east corner of Windsor Great Park, borders the town of Egham and more tightly clustered village of Virginia water.
