Moreton-in-Marsh Area

Moreton-in-Marsh is an historic town, set in the pretty Evenlode Valley within the glorious Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its rolling hills and beautiful buildings built of honey coloured stone that lights up in the sunshine. The area is accessible by both road and rail and is a popular destination for tourists from all around the world, as well as the U.K. It is a hugely popular place to live for both permanent residents and for secondary home owners.

Surrounding Villages

  • Broadwell
    The village is situated just three miles to the south of Moreton-in-Marsh, with the principal part of the settlement arranged around a well maintained village green. There is a pub and an active village hall, whilst the popular town of Stow-on-the-Wold is half a mile to the south.
  • Blockley
    A beautiful village set in a valley with the Blockley Brook running through it, which historically powered at least 12 mills. The village has two pubs, a bowling green, secondary and primary schools as well as a thriving community run shop.

    Seven miles north-west of Moreton-in-Marsh and set on the edge of the Cotswolds, these are two villages situated seamlessly side by side with a reputation for community spirit. There is an annual flower show and a recently constructed village hall which hosts events every week.

    There are five public houses and two hotels - The Manor House Hotel and the Redesdale Arms – as well as a number of tea rooms. There is a weekly market every Tuesday selling a wide range of produce.
