The charming Berkshire village of Pangbourne is one of the most underrated corners of England to settle down in.

While Pangbourne can seem like a picture-perfect countryside escape, it is also only a short drive from Reading, one of the largest towns in the UK. This not only means you’ll have all the conveniences of a busy population centre on your doorstep, but also that rapid access to central London is regularly available, thanks to services from Pangbourne to Reading, where you can connect to the Elizabeth Line. 

Housing in Pangbourne is as charming as the rest of the town, with historic homes nestled among more modern, larger family houses. There aren’t many smaller options, although some can be found along the central High Street and by the station. This makes sense as many of the residents are part of families, drawn to the village for its pace of life and plethora of excellent local schools.
